Privacy and AI Policy
Who we are
CEO In Slippers helps businesses understand and use AI. We are based in South Africa. This policy explains how we handle personal information and how we use AI in our work.

What we collect and why
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, message and any details you choose to share about your business. Your phone number is optional. We use this information to reply, discuss your needs and prepare a quote. Without your contact details, we may be unable to respond.
If we work together, we may also need information for assessments, training, coaching, implementation, billing and support. We will explain any extra information we need before collecting it. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or sensitive client records through our enquiry form.
We process information on a lawful basis under POPIA. Depending on the purpose, this may be your consent, steps towards a contract, a contract, a legal duty or a legitimate interest such as managing enquiries and keeping our systems secure.
Newsletters and free resources
We will ask you to choose whether you want our newsletter. Sending an enquiry or requesting a resource will not automatically add you to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in our emails or by contacting us. We may keep a limited record of your request so we do not send you further marketing.
Our free AI checks
The AI Readiness Check and the AI Skills and Safe Use Check calculate guidance from your answers. The skills and safe use check has separate questions for organisations and people working on their own. To see a result, you enter your name and email address and submit your multiple choice answers through our website form. We collect these details and your chosen path to provide the result on the page and send a copy by email. Netlify processes the form submission and Resend delivers the email. Completing either check does not add you to our newsletter or give us permission to send marketing emails. We do not ask you to enter actual ID numbers, bank details, passwords or client records in either check.
Who can access your information
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is needed with people and service providers helping us run the business or deliver your agreed service. These may include email, hosting, booking, accounting and approved AI providers. We require appropriate confidentiality and security arrangements. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this applies, we will explain the relevant arrangements and ensure the transfer meets section 72 of POPIA, including adequate protection or another permitted basis.
How we protect and keep information
We use reasonable security measures and limit access to people who need it. No system is completely secure. If a security compromise occurs, we will assess it and notify the Information Regulator and affected people as POPIA requires.
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for its purpose or a lawful retention requirement. We then securely delete it or remove identifying details.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access your personal information or to have it corrected or deleted where POPIA allows. You may also object to certain processing and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing. Some records may need to be retained by law.
Email hello@ceoinslippers.co.za with your request. We may need to verify your identity. If a request cannot be granted, we will explain why.

Website tools and other websites
This website loads fonts from Google. Your browser connects to Google to display them. Links to social platforms open services with their own privacy practices.
Other websites have their own privacy policies. Please read them when you follow a link or use an external service.
How we use AI
AI supports our work. People remain responsible for the advice we give and the work we deliver.
- We review AI outputs for accuracy, relevance and possible bias before using them in client work.
- We explain material AI use in a project and agree on the tools, information and human checks involved.
- We use sample or anonymised information where practical. We do not put confidential client information into an AI tool without the necessary authority, a lawful basis and suitable safeguards.
- Before using client information, we check the provider’s access, retention and model training settings. We explain relevant limitations to the client.
- We do not use AI alone to make decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.
- We teach people to question outputs, protect information and stay in control. AI can make mistakes. It does not guarantee a particular business result.
Our project agreement will set out any additional requirements for your work. Tell us if you have concerns about an AI output or how your information is used.
