I could not find a job. So I stopped waiting to be chosen.

I am an ordinary woman who ran out of job offers and decided to bet on myself instead. That one decision changed my whole life. Here is how it happened.

Chapter One · Where it started

I did everything right. And still, not one yes.

There was a time I could not find work anywhere. I sent my CV out again and again. I paid experts to perfect it. I took extra courses to make myself more hireable. Still nothing. Not one yes.

I did everything right and was still waiting for someone else to decide I was good enough. That waiting became its own kind of cage. And I was done sitting in it.

The truth of it

I was clueless. I did it anyway.

Chapter Two · The turning point

I stopped refreshing my inbox and reached out instead.

No permission, no perfect plan. Just me, offering to help solve a problem. For the first time I was not waiting to be picked. I was the one choosing.

One brave message.

I landed my first client.

I had no clue what I was doing, but I worked it out as I went.

A second one, that same month.

Proof it was not a fluke. Something was working.

Then the clients kept coming.

I was no longer waiting to be chosen. I was choosing.

Chapter Three · What I have built since

That is how I became the CEO of my own life.

One brave message grew into a full business, and that business became CEO In Slippers. Along the way I learned to use the talents I already had, the ones I had been overlooking the whole time.

Now I help other women do the same.

Here is what I know for certain: most women are already sitting on a skill people will gladly pay for. They just have not been shown how to package it.
